Transformation - 1GB 20 Years Ago VS Now


This was a GB 20 years ago and the guy holding a lil memory card is a 1GB now.. This is what is called Transformation..

I was cleaning my cupboard just before Diwali and I found some memory cards.. 256MB and 512MB ones which I used on my Nokia 6600 and Nokia 7610. 512 MB used to be a BIG deal then.. and Now no one cares for a memory below 8GB on their mobiles which has become a minimum requirement.. 

The way the technology is progressing, I wonder 5 years down the line, even mobiles will have a memory og say 1TB or more.. who knows..
Wonder whats future in Technology got in store!

TRAI increases daily SMS limit from 100 to 200..

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) restricted the mobile users from sending more than 100 SMS / day per SIM starting 27th September 2011, to prevent pesky marketing SMS. Now TRAI has increased the limit from 100 to 200 SMS / day per SIM after they received representations from some of the service providers and consumers to increase the limit of 100 SMS per day per SIM.

The customers can send more than 200 SMS /day per SIM on the blackout days such as New Year, Diwali and Christmas.

Something better and happening for bulk mobile sms senders.. Specially me ;)

How true is this.. People get up these days in the morning and the first site they open as soon as they get online is Facebook.. Even before checking their mails, then comes Gmail.. Twitter yeah for people like me but I don't think their are many folks who use twitter as much as they use Facebook..

Gmail: Made our life easier by providing us a simple and quick emailing system which is integrated with so many other things which we all use in our daily lives like Google, Google+, Blog, Reader, Picasa, Youtube etc etc etc.. Everything at one place - Via Gmail or Google..

Facebook: The interconnected lives I say.. Makes you keep in touch with your Chuddy Buddies (Nappy Friends) even though you don't talk for ages.

Twitter: Awesomeness at one place for everything which includes Fun, News, Technology, Pouring thoughts without thinking, Talk all the rubbish and sensible stuff, Make new friends and flirt around with people you like :P

RIP Steve - You Will Be Missed!


I got up this morning, earlier than usual, had to go out with family. As soon as I got up, started checking my messages and status's of friends on BBM, broadcasted messages and got a shock. Everyone had a common phrase "RIP Steve Jobs". I couldn't believe what I was reading, switched on the news channels and saw the same news on them too.

He was a great man, who brought around the change in technology, make people use touch screens all around the world, gave music a whole new dimension, banged the tablet industry! Changed the whole scenario of what Technology was. Such innovations, can be done only by one in a billion people. He was one of his kind! Respect!

This is what he said to the world.

"Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything -- all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure -- these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Call from Vodafone




I'm surprised how did this happen, maybe a promotion or something but this sounds really good.

A girl from vodafone just called me up and says that my Calling tariff will change from tonight. Ill be charged only 10ps per minute to any Vodafone number and 1ps per 2 seconds to any other number and there is no validity for this. Its forever..

Now I don't know how far is this gonna happen, but if it does.. Wooohoooo! :D I'll be saving some bucks without any extra top up's to reduce call charges ;)

When I was a kid, my granny used to temme stories of how bhagwan Krishna was born & bought up.. The way he used to steal and eat Maakhan.. Girls used to be crazy about him.. hehe :P

I always wanted to do this or atleast see how people break the Maakhan ki Handi on this very day.. Haven't seen it yet but I'll surely experience this in future :)

Existing System
System Proposed by civil society
No politician or senior officer ever goes to jail despite huge evidence because Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) and CBI directly come under the government. Before starting investigation or initiating prosecution in any case, they have to take permission from the same bosses, against whom the case has to be investigated.
Lokpal at centre and Lokayukta at state level will be independent bodies. ACB and CBI will be merged into these bodies. They will have power to initiate investigations and prosecution against any officer or politician without needing anyoneâ³ permission. Investigation should be completed within 1 year and trial to get over in next 1 year. Within two years, the corrupt should go to jail.
No corrupt officer is dismissed from the job because Central Vigilance Commission, which is supposed to dismiss corrupt officers, is only an advisory body. Whenever it advises government to dismiss any senior corrupt officer, its advice is never implemented.
Lokpal and Lokayukta will have complete powers to order dismissal of a corrupt officer. CVC and all departmental vigilance will be merged into Lokpal and state vigilance will be merged into Lokayukta.
No action is taken against corrupt judges because permission is required from the Chief Justice of India to even register an FIR against corrupt judges.
Lokpal & Lokayukta shall have powers to investigate and prosecute any judge without needing anyoneâ³ permission.
Nowhere to go - People expose corruption but no action is taken on their complaints.
Lokpal & Lokayukta will have to enquire into and hear every complaint.
There is so much corruption within CBI and vigilance departments. Their functioning is so secret that it encourages corruption within these agencies.
All investigations in Lokpal & Lokayukta shall be transparent. After completion of investigation, all case records shall be open to public. Complaint against any staff of Lokpal & Lokayukta shall be enquired and punishment announced within two months.
Weak and corrupt people are appointed as headsof anti-corruption agencies.
Politicians will have absolutely no say in selections of Chairperson and members of Lokpal & Lokayukta. Selections will take place through a transparent and public participatory process.
Citizens face harassment in government offices. Sometimes they are forced to pay bribes. One can only complaint to senior officers. No action is taken on complaints because senior officers also get their cut.
Lokpal & Lokayukta will get public grievances resolved in time bound manner, impose a penalty of Rs 250 per day of delay to be deducted from the salary of guilty officer and award that amount as compensation to the aggrieved citizen.
Nothing in law to recover ill gotten wealth. A corrupt person can come out of jail and enjoy that money.
Loss caused to the government due to corruption will be recovered from all accused.
Small punishment for corruption- Punishment for corruption is minimum 6 months and maximum 7 years.
Enhanced punishment - The punishment would be minimum 5 years and maximum of life imprisonment.
 
All the politicians will get exposed if this Bill becomes live.. This is the reason the government is not going ahead with it and doing all the wrong things!!

Opera Mini changed - SGS2

Opera mini seems to have changed its main page. This page which is in the pic is a new type.. Before there wasnt any possibility to change the icons on the main screen but now it looks like the users can define their own bookmarks on the home/main page of Opera Mini itself :)

Nice feature.. I always wanted my personal bookmarks on the main acreen rather than going to the bookmarks and then opening the them.. :)

Beautiful Birds - Macao

I went to a couple of stores yesterday with some friends.. Abbas took us there.. First we went to an Acquarium shop (Ocean World) which said advertised as the Asia's largest acquarium store, but in vain.. lol.. They had some ok fishes but nothing like Wowwww types..

Then we went to this other store which had different types of Birds and lil pets like cats n squirrels etc.. I took a couple of pics.. One of the cats and another one of the Big Beautiful birds..

Guess what.. The Blue bird costs 1.25L and the other Red one, the one which is sabse piche, last one, the biggest one in the store for 2.25L.. woahh!! But they were beautiful.. For people jinki shaan badhti hai inse and those who love making them a part of their family, Go get them ;)

Download Torrents on Android

Finally we have a torrent client for Android. The name is "T Torrent". I always wanted to download stuff on torrents while on the move or wherever I found good network or wifi.. It isn't possible to carry a laptop everywhere we go and now Smart Phones are replacing laptops in our daily lives.. People are even reading news on their tablets and smart phones every morning and stopped taking the physical news paper which they used to get every morning..



 I found this app and tried it on my Samsung Galaxy S2 and its working Marvelously.. Im a download freak, specially movies.. i have hell loads of em'.. So obviously this app made me super happy :D

You get options to search for torrents from a number of sites, which I dint find very interesting though.. I download torrents from www.seventorrents.com, www.kickasstorrents.com, www.isohunt.com etc.. which are the top sites.. And browse them on the phone and keep em for download.. On the first day when I wanted to try how this app actually works, I started downloading a small 25mb file and kept the mobile on charge and slept. When I got up in the morning, I was all excited to see 100% download finished and what I saw was crap, the download dint even start... Grrrrrrrrr... I was pissed off and then checked for options then then I found this.. Dumb me.. I should have checked this before.. The default option which was set was download only on WIFI.. ha ha ha.. I laughed at myself and then changed it to the third one which is Any available connection.. And then within no time the download started :D Yayyyy!! I have very limited 3G which will get used up within no time if I start downloading torrents in it, so I switched off 3G and used my normal Data plan of 2G.. Have hell loads of it..


Next day I thought why not try a bigger file and found some new torrents and kept this movie for download.. a 700 MB file on download for the night on EDGE.. The speed on Edge I get is 20-25kBps which is very low. Use a WIFI network of if u have unlimited 3G data plan, start downloading from anywhere anytime ;)

Upload Images Directly On Twitter

I just came online and logged on to twitter on web.. I access it from my smartphone always, come online to see if somethings new and here it was.. It was always pain to upload any image directly on twitter, had to use 3rd party apps like Tweetdeck, Hootsuith etc to upload images.. Twitter directly did not have any option to upload them from its website..



AND As soon as I logged in today, I saw a notification glowing on the screen showing a camera icon which allows users to upload photos/images directly on twitter now :D Yayiii!! Its powered by Photobucket, you can see it after you upload the image, its written on the bottom left of the image.. This is one feature which was terribly missing from twitter.. And its here now, I hope twitter soon releases an upload option to directly attach Videos to it as well.. You never know whats next..

My Samsung Galaxy S2 - My Android

My first Android..

Android started floating its operating system in mobiles, I think Google Nexus was the first one with Android in it, I was doing my MBA and a couple of folks had got it. I had an iPhone 3GS that time and I was pretty happy with it.. You know Apple dint launch its phones officially in India, a friend got it for me from USA.. The crazy for iphones was on and I had one in my hands.. Dint really care about Android or whatever it was that time.. Then slowly became a die hard fan of Blackberry.. Its addictive you know.. The BBM craze and superb emailing experience in your hands was like awesome.. So I've been using a blackberry since then and never feel like going away from it..


Time passed and I wanted to try something new now.. It was Android everywhere and a super sexily made sleek and super fast phone caught my eyes one day on the internet.. This happened 1 and half month before the phone was bout to release and I dint know what was it, but it looked amazing.. Researched on it and told my friends about its specs, features, the super fast processor, huge built in memory, sexy camera.. The only thing I was skeptical about was the brand - Samsung.. You know after a being a Nokia, Apple and Blackberry fan, You obviously think to get into Samsung.. But I had made my choice.. "Android lunga toh yehi lunga nahi toh nahi lunga" types :P

Finally it launched and I checked it out, watched a lotta videos about it.. I wanted to be sure about the mobile, its hardware and software, user interface and I liked each and every bit of it.. Roop and I bought it together and had Manohar and Ankit to follow us :D


Its undoubtedly the fastest and best gadget I have used.. What all you can do with it.. You have your freedom.. You name it and you can do it on Android/SGS2.. I do not need a computer now for anything.. Everything is very well done on my mobile itself.. From audios, videos, gaming etc to downloading stuff, blogging, social networks.. Its a mini computer.. What increases its value is the number of app's you can install in it and keep running together.. The memory is huge and it easily runs as many apps as you want on it together without and processing or speed hassles..


Everything is on my finger tips now.. Added all my emails and social networks to it.. Play games and watch videos (of any format, direct download and copy in the 16gb memory and watch anywhere anytime with awesome clarity) when I get time, listen to music, video calling, messaging, blogging, news and rss feeds, amazing camera (8mp) and HD video recording, download anything anywhere anytime.. I mean what else do I want.. Just wanted to share my views on the freedom Android gives and I enjoy :D Hard Core Android Boi  ;)

Thank the Lord for giving the owners of Google so much brains that they made this wonderful superfast search engine without which internet must have been something else totally! No one could finish their projects in time, dont know how many sites, blogs, pages one had to viait to search one simple thing.

Strange but AWESOME

Guys guys guys...

I'm viewing a super strange thing on my SGS2.. But super awesome as well.. No idea how this is happening..

I'm on Vodafone.. 3G trial activated.. My network suddenly went off.. I restarted my mobile..

After the restart I still don't get any network but my downloads are happening at amazing speeds 800KBPS on Samsung Galaxy S2.. Can you beat that.. I downloaded around 50MB files in within one minute..

Now downloading the latest Blackberry 9780 OS on it.. There is no network.. But the download is in progress..

Aint it amazingly Strange :D

Eraser- Deletes even the Dead Files

Many of the computer and mobile users do not know that the files once deleted from the computer or mobile can be retreived again.. It is important that you delete all your files before selling or giving or computer or mobile to somebody else..
Download the software from http://sourceforge.net/projects/eraser/ and install it on your pc.. Select the.folders you wish to erase and all the files including the dead files will be permanently deleted.. :)

Handle Insult - Buddha Style

The Buddha explained how to handle insult and maintain compassion.

One day Buddha was walking through a village. A very angry and rude young man came up and began insulting him. "You have no right teaching others," he shouted. "You are as stupid as everyone else. You are nothing but a fake."

Buddha was not upset by these insults. Instead he asked the young man "Tell me, if you buy a gift for someone, and that person does not take it, to whom does the gift belong?"

The man was surprised to be asked such a strange question and answered, "It would belong to me, because I bought the gift."

The Buddha smiled and said, "That is correct. And it is exactly the same with your anger. If you become angry with me and I do not get insulted, then the anger falls back on you. You are then the only one who becomes unhappy, not me. All you have done is hurt yourself."

"If you want to stop hurting yourself, you must get rid of your anger and become loving instead. When you hate others, you yourself become unhappy. But when you love others, everyone is happy."

The young man listened closely to these wise words of the Buddha. "You are right, o Enlightened One, "he said. "Please teach me the path of love. I wish to become your follower."

The Buddha answered kindly, "Of course. I teach anyone who truly wants to learn. Come with me."

Problem with Google+ on SGS2

I downloaded Google+ yesterday on my SGS2.. I have 3 gmail accounts synced to it.. However when I wanna log into Google plus from my SGS2, it shows me only one email id which is not LINKED to my google plus. My Google Plus is linked to another Gmail id..

I tried removing my id's from the mobile but no use.. When I press options, nothing happens.. Any solution to this problem?

Being A Twit - A Socially Irritable Tale

It has changed the world; it has creatively challenged every form of media; it dispenses news and information faster than any other media; it has been the backbone of revolutions and social change across the world; it has spawned a new culture; it is a great leveller; it has bridged the gap betw een celebrities and fans; it’s... well, it’s a long list of greats. Yet, with all this jaw dropping stuff that the 140 character revolution has archived, Twitter does have some truly gut-wrenching irritants.

Let’s start from the basics. The abuse of Twitter by people who  use it in ways no other human can endure.

To the Forever Status Updater: Do we really need to know when you got up, what you’re feeling every 10 minutes, your goal for the day, your to-do list, what you ate, a photo of everything you ate, how you’re driving and tweeting (!!), what song you’re listening to, a shortened url of that song on YouTube (!!), where you are now, where you were before, where you’re going to be in the next 10 minutes? Stop! We get that you’re with it and cool and also great at fiction-writing and have invented a life that doesn’t exist.

TwitterTo the New Crap Language Inventor: Yes, Twitter restricts you to 140 characters and yes, it is sometimes tough to express yourself in that many words. But do you have to pulverise the language to little bits and pieces, use slang and abbreviations to the point of insanity and add acronyms and phonetics that make no sense to anybody but to yourself? No wonder you have just five followers –  nobody understands what you’ve been tweeting for the last one year! Uhvgt2stprgnw.

To the #Hashtag Army: Agreed, hash-tags are a powerful way of making something trend, to get people unified on a  single topic, to make a point that the world is with you, to bring people together, to start a movement and a revolution. But could you desist from putting hashtags to complete nonsense, using a hashtag on four words in a single sentence, using it with words like #justsaying and #meloves and #itsraining? It will never trend, the world isn’t with you on that, it doesn’t make your tweet look cooler and yes, you do look and read like a fool. #youhavebeenwarned.

To the Blow Your own Trumpeteer: Come on, it’s Twitter, not a job application or a CV depository. Could you tone down your
digital profile to earth-terms and not fly in the stratosphere? Get off the poetic route, erase those lofty claims and stop making yourself sound like the second coming of Christ. No, you don’t have so many interests and you most certainly haven’t achieved so much. Also, those moody little philosophies of life and the little pieces of dark brooding advice you’re giving everyone in your profile – nope,  not the right platform. An introduction, where you are from and a factual sentence or two about yourself is good enough. Let your tweets do the rest of the magic.

To the One-Way Celebrity:We know it feels good, we know it’s a ratification of your power and your fan base and we know that
having ‘followers’ in millions is just such a warm and fuzzy feeling. But can you treat them with some respect? Don’t start tweeting only when you have a new movie or a book or a TV show (guilty). Don’t treat it as a one-way broadcast street. Engage, interact and reply to some of the people going gaga over your spelling mistake-ridden, terribly formatted, grammatically incorrect tweet. And don’t disappear forever off Twitter and still give press interviews about how much you love the fact that you’ve got the sweetest followers who’ve helped you cross the 10 million mark.

To the Social Media Guru: Look, you may be a consultant to the top companies, you may be God in front of your little band of four people at home and you may well be the greatest thing since sliced silicon in your own eyes. Could you not dispense wisdom, advice and instructions in that rude and very stand- offish manner? Don’t tell people how to tweet, don’t correct them, don’t be the spelling police, don’t be the Twitter-usage mafia, don’t guide anyone and send out how-to lists, don’t be Big Brother and don’t sermonise and criticise one and all. You may know your stuff (I doubt that) but when you do what you do, you sound like a jackass on Twitter.

There are lots of other characters and characteristics on Twitter that universally cheese everybody off. RTing somebody’s tweet and cutting the original person out, using Capital Letters and shouting everybody out, abusing the Direct Message privilege and using it for marketing or self-promotion, keeping a running score of who you unfollowed and broadcasting it, using seriously abusive words in order to sound cooler than the rest, begging and imploring to be followed, ditto for asking for your tweet to be retweeted, name dropping, continuously reposting your tweets in the hope that more people respond and react and spending every waking hour on Twitter... it’s as silly and as embarrassing as it is in real life. You’ve got to have a real life to sound like you have an amazing life, even on Twitter. #justsaying :)

Solid Brains - Vijay Mallya

An Indian man walks into the New York City bank and asks for the loan officer.

He tells the Loan Officer that he was going to India for some business for 2 weeks and needs to borrow $5,000.

The Loan Officer tells him that the bank will need Some form of security for the loan.

So the Indian man hands over the keys and the documents of the new Ferrari car parked on the street in front of the bank.

The loan officer consults the president of the bank, Produces all the required items and everything check out to be OK.

The loan officer agrees to accept the car as a security for the loan.

The bank president and the Loan Officer had a good laugh at the Indian For keeping a $750,000 Ferrari as a security and taking only $5,000 has a loan.

An employee of the bank then drives the Ferrari Into the banks underground garage and parks it there.

Two weeks later the Indian returns and pays $5000 and the interest which comes to it $15.41.

Seeing this, loan officer says,

“Sir, we are very happy to have your business And this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled.
While you are away, we checked you out and Found out that you were a multi millionaire.

What puzzled us was why would you bother to borrow $5000?”

The Indian replies
"Where else in the New York City can I park my car for 2 weeks and For only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return".

Blackberry 9900 Vs iPhone 4

Form:
BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 – 115 x 66 x 10.5 mm, 130g
Apple iPhone 4 – 115.2 x 58.6 x 9.3 mm, 137g
These two handsets could not be any more different visually, the iPhone is a looker with a design like a shard of sculpted and polished glass, meanwhile the BlackBerry has a squashed and frumpy appearance with both a screen and keyboard squeezed awkwardly into its frame.
It's not hard to see why Apple's designs have been so successful to the point of imitation by other manufacturers.
Winner – Apple iPhone 4

Display:
The Bold's TFT capacitive touchscreen is a little on the dinky side of things at 2.8-inches, the resolution clocks in at 640 x 480 pixels and an impressive 287 dots-per-inch (dpi), it also uses RIM's 'Liquid Graphics' technology for enhanced graphics and a more responsive touch control experience. The screen shares its space with a Qwerty keyboard and an optical track pad, and an accelerometer sensor wraps-up the list of display features.
Apple has used an LED-backlit IPS TFT capacitive touchscreen in the iPhone 4, measuring 3.5-inches with a resolution of 640 x 960 pixels at 326 dpi. It features a scratch resistant oleophobic surface designed to reduce greasy fingerprints, multi-touch, accelerometer and gyro sensors.
The iPhone 4's screen isn't vastly bigger than the Bold's but it's enough to draw and hold our attention and both the resolution and dpi are higher too. We prefer a solid keyboard but not at the expense of screen space so as the Bold isn't sporting a slide-out version this isn't earning it any extra points.
Winner – Apple iPhone 4


Storage:
The BlackBerry has 8GB of internal storage while processing power is boosted by 768MB of RAM and Micro SD cards are supported up to 32GB.
Meanwhile on the iPhone 4 there are options for either 16 or 32 GB of onboard storage capacity, which is much more generous than the Bold, however, things start to go a little downhill from here with 512 MB RAM and no card support.
There's nothing wrong with 512 MB RAM but the BlackBerry simply has more to throw around and no card support for the iPhone 4 is disappointing, though not exactly surprising.
The wealth of storage space on Apple's device is a big plus in its favour though and in our view is of primary importance when it comes to phone storage, so in this round the iPhone 4 wins.
Winner – Apple iPhone 4

Processor:
Both handsets are powered by single core processors, the iPhone 4 uses a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor on the Apple A4 chipset and paired with a PowerVR SGX535 graphics processing unit (GPU).
The BlackBerry Bold, meanwhile, runs with a more powerful 1.2 GHz Qualcomm 8655 Snapdragon.
Not only do both these phones have a decent amount of muscle but they've been nicely optimised with their respective operating systems too, both therefore offer silky smooth performance as you navigate round the interface and multi-tasking with a selection of apps is also well handled.
On paper the BlackBerry should win with a more powerful processor and more RAM but in actual use both deliver equally satisfactory performance and we'd be hard pressed to pick a favourite between the two.
Winner - Draw

Operating System:
The Bold predictably uses the BlackBerry OS, the latest version 7.0 to be precise and it represents some definite progress for RIM in terms of closing the gap with the likes of Android, Windows Phone 7 and iOS.
Changes from version 6.0, itself a step in the right direction, are fairly extensive but you could be forgiven for thinking otherwise just by looking at it as the overall style and presentation is more or less unchanged.
Performance has been enhanced across the board making it much more satisfying to use, the web browser in particular is zippier and now features a pinch zoom and voice activated search function. Churning away behind it all is a tailor-made BlackBerry Javascript compiler as well as HTML5 and Flash support.
There's also integrated support for HD video capture and the much talked about up-and-coming magic of NFC remote banking technology.
Lastly, though by no means least, RIM has added a new set of tools designed to help users separate their business and personal data as part of the BlackBerry Balance suite.
Apple's latest version of iOS as used on the iPhone 4 hasn't changed considerably since the last release, which shows how time and effort has shaped a very complete feeling operating system and it is commendable that Apple have pretty much taken the attitude that they're not going to fix something that isn't broken.The majority of changes were cosmetic interface, icon, menu options and menu placement tweaks.
More substantially, however, there were also a few welcome additions to the networking options with the inclusion of the Mobile Hotspots feature for shared connectivity with other devices, as well as Apple Airplay, a handy way of streaming photo and video content directly from your handset to an Apple TV.
Lastly, and perhaps most impressively, the already nifty Safari browser received a performance boost and is now unbelievably quick.
Both of these are great operating systems, they're well optimised on the handsets with very quick performance and we can't speak highly enough of the intuitive interfaces on each which will have you flitting around the menus at a rate of knots.
Winner - Draw

Camera:
The Bold features a 5-megapixel primary camera at 2592x1944 pixels with autofocus, LED flash geo-tagging, face detection and image stabilization while video capture is at 720p. No secondary camera here though.
Apple has gone for a similar setup with a 5-megapixel primary at the same resolution as the BlackBerry. The features list is more extensive overall, the basic line-up includes autofocus, LED flash, touch focus, geo-tagging but the video capture at 720p also has some additional features with an LED video light and video geo-tagging as well as video-calling over Wi-Fi connections. There's also a secondary camera.
We feel the iPhone has the more attractive setup here.
Winner – Apple iPhone 4

Final Thoughts:
The BlackBerry is decent enough in most aspects but has a few major downfalls relating to design, it isn't pretty and integration of a fixed keyboard means the screen is tiny, which further taints its visual style.
Apart from that though it has a good camera, a great processor and a very nice operating system, and despite being smaller than we would like the display quality is commendable.
The storage, while adequate, is significantly less than the iPhone, which overall we feel is the better handset of the two with more camera features, a larger and more satisfying screen, much more storage space, a good processor and killer looks to top it all off.

Facebook 2.0 for Blackberry OS6

New Facebook for Blackberry OS6 users.. This was released a couple of months ago.. I gave it a try just now.. Looks great.. The interface is totally new.. You have got plenty of new options. The applications is Fast, Looks Royal and has that different feeling when you use it on your blackberry smart phone. 

This is the Profile page. You have 3 separate bars to see your wall, personal information and photos. Looks nice, doesn't it? ;) 


You can see Facebook with a drop down arrow on the top of the page. Click that and you will get the below page with all the facebook options. You can access almost everything from this page.. Just scroll to wherever you want to go and press the trackpad and it opens in a split.


You have 3 small icons on the top right of the page, Click the top right and you get the below page showing you the Notifications, Unread Messages and New Friend Requests. 


The background is kinda transparent when you open the notifications or the options pages which gives it a better look. Like I said in my previous post for New Twitter for Blackberry OS6  , the new Facebook application for blackberry OS6 running phones looks like a matured app for full fletched usage.

This new app is no doubt Very sweet. I haven't come across any bugs yet.. Will keep a track and update if I find anything worth sharing in the blog or on my twitter.

New Twitter 2.0 for Blackberry OS6

I just installed the new Twitter 2.0.0.7 for Blackberry OS6 devices from Blackberry Beta website.. Its isn't available for everyone for now, only for beta users.. 

You can have it too by going to www.blackberry.com/beta. I have attached a couple of screen shots of the new Twitter interface.. It looks much better than the previous one. The old twitter looked like a raw vegetable and this one looks like a proper cooked meal ;)


The snap above is the one for a new tweet composition. You do not have to go to options and press compose new tweet, on the Nav Bar on the top, the extreme right icon is for composing a new tweet..  The speed of this app is comparatively faster and smoother.


The above snap shows the looks of the new Twitter for Blackberry. There are 6 icons on the Nav Bar which are as follows:
1. Time Line
2. Mentions
3. Messages (Dm's)
4. Lists
5. Search
6. Compose New Tweet.

The 5th icon, search also shows the trends worldwide.

The Tomato Story



A Jobless man applied for the position of 'office boy' at Microsoft. The HR manager interviewed him then watched him cleaning the floor as a test.
 
'You are employed' he said. Give me your e-mail address and I'll send you the application to fill in, as well as date when you may start.
 
The man replied 'But I don't have a computer, neither an email'.
 
'I'm sorry', said the HR manager. If you don't have an email, that means you do not exist. And who doesn't exist, cannot have the job.'
 
The man left with no hope at all. He didn't know what to do, with only $10 in his pocket. He then decided to go to the supermarket and buy a 10Kg tomato crate.
He then sold the tomatoes in a door to door round. In less than two hours, he succeeded to double his capital. He repeated the operation three times, and returned home with $60.
 
The man realized that he can survive by this way, and started to go everyday earlier, and return late. Thus, his money doubled or tripled everyday.
 
Shortly, he bought a cart, then a truck, and then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles.
 
5 years later, the man is one of the biggest food retailers in the US ..
He started to plan his family's future, and decided to have a life insurance.
 
He called an insurance broker, and chose a protection plan... When the conversation was concluded the broker asked him his email. The man replied,'I don't have an email'. The broker answered curiously, 'You don't have an email, and yet have succeeded to build an empire. Can you imagine what you could have been
if you had an e mail?!!' The man thought for a while and replied, 'Yes, I'd be an office boy at Microsoft!'

Downloading Movies on Blackberry


Heylo!

I've attached a screen shot of the speeds n movies I've been downloading on my mobile since mrng :P

They are being downloaded on 3G. Amazing speeds.. Maximum it has touched 187KB/s.. Downloaded 5 mobile movies till now..

The battery is drowning like crazy, but I don't mind it.. In 2 hours it gone down from 88% to 30% :P I'm going outta station day after on a road trip, so watchin making some preparations b4 hand :P

Interviewer said, " I shall either ask you ten easy questions or one really difficult question. Think well before you make up your mind!"
 
The candidate thought for a while and said, " My choice is one really difficult question."
 
" Well, good luck to you, you have made your own choice!" said the interviewer.
 
Here is your question: " What comes first, Day or Night?"
 
The boy was jolted into reality as his admission depended on the correctness of the answer to that one question. He thought for a while and said, " It's DAY sir!"
 
" How?" the interviewer asked.
 
" Sorry sir, you promised me that you will not ask me a SECOND difficult question!"

How True!! This can actually happen.. The way the social media is being used, Twitter and FB the two most used platforms which give out loads of personal information, Its tough to hide or lie about stuff!
